Next Meeting Tuesday 17th January Visitation by The Lodge of Erskine No 1566

LOE1566No XII has its first meeting of 2017 on Tuesday. Our visitors are The Lodge of Erskine No 1566.  The relationship between the Lodges has grown in recent years with Bro Brian McFadyen as the catalyst.  Bro Brian has been a member of No XII for many years, following in the footsteps of his late father, Bro John McFadyen, when he came into the Craft in No XII.  Bro John, of course, was an enthusiastic member of No XII serving in numerous Offices including Depute Master,

Bro Brian affiliated to The Lodge of Erskine as he lives up that way and was its RWM in 2015-16.  Now as IPM, he is Worshipful Junior Warden in No XII – a real Masonic enthusiast.  The two Lodges have now exchanged a number of visits and we look forward to Tuesday when Bro Iain McPhee, a Past Master of The Lodge of Erskine and Substitute Provincial Grand Master of Renfrewshire East, will give us an insight into the history of his Lodge and how its inception and workings have been influenced by the presence of the Erskine Hospital for veterans in its vicinity.  Bro Iain is an excellent communicator and we can look forward to an entertaining and instructive evening.
